Should I upgrade to LinkedIn Premium?
The basic answer to this question is: Only when you have your ducks in a row.
Premium is a great product well worth the investing, but you’ll only get your return on investment from it once you’ve got a number of other things sorted out first.
Premium offers a few extra fancy functionality which allows you expand your reach and do more, but if you haven’t yet established your strategy, integrated it into your day-to-day practice and mastered the free functions available in a basic account, you’ll be unlikely to take full advantage of what’s being offered.
Since every action on LinkedIn has the potential to bring people to your profile, you’ll want to make sure your profile is effective. The last thing you want is all your efforts coming to nothing because your profile looks unprofessional, or worse, just doesn’t sell what you do well enough.
This is why we say, only invest the money upgrading once you’ve got your ducks in a row and have a compelling profile that converts.
