How to change your place of education at the top of your LinkedIn profile
LinkedIn has always featured your most recent education provider at the top of your LinkedIn profile along with your name, headline and current employer. However, with the LinkedIn 2017 updates, the new layout has made the education either an important feature or a terrible distraction hindering your personal brand. See this post for more.
As you can see from this screenshot, your Education is featured directly under your headline. LinkedIn automatically selects the institution to feature here based on your most recent entry. However, if you’ve completed smaller courses since your major qualification you may see fit to change it.
In this blog, I’ll show you how to change the education listing showing in your LinkedIn header.
- Go to your profile and click on the edit pencil to the right of your photo. The following window will then appear.
LinkedIn has now placed multiple sections in different pop-up windows. This window includes your name, headline, summary and all the items at the top of your profile. As you can see it lists ‘Current Position’ and ‘Education’.
2. Use the drop down menus to select the institution you wish to feature.
3. Select and click ‘Save’. Your LinkedIn profile will now feature the place of education you have selected.
