HOW TO:
We’ve all heard it said, ‘A picture speaks a thousand words’ with the right background image you can convey a lot about your business quickly.
Adding a background image to your LinkedIn Profile not only brings color but it can quickly set context.
It might be nice to think that people are generally interested in us, but the truth is with so much competition for our time and attention, our initial question when opening up a LinkedIn profile is ‘Is this relevant to me?’
A background photo is a great way to quickly set the scene and establish what the conversation with you is going to be about.
Not only that, but it shows an extra level of care and professionalism. It’s not something everyone has, and if they do, not all background images really communicate anything at all.
Taking the time here can add an extra dimension to your profile.
Getting this right shouldn’t stop you from loading your profile, however. It’s a nice-to-have, not a must-have.
